The proposal to introduce a 20 mph safety zone in the village was discussed at the Parish Council meeting on 12 January 2009. Further amendments were made to the proposal following comments from parishioners. The revised proposal is shown below. On the map the letters represent the following road signs. The road signs shown below are for illustration purposes only. In addition to the 20 mph zone the speed limit on Taylors Green would be reduced from 60 mph to 30 mph.

These are the entry and exit signs for the 20 MPH zone within the village.

This is a new village sign that combines the name of the village with a 30 MPH speed limit sign. The signs will be mounted on a section of five rail fencing to form a Gateway feature at the entrance to the village.

This is a vehicle activated sign that illuminates when approaching vehicles exceed the 20 MPH speed limit.

The Parish Council is committed to keeping the road signs and road markings to a minimum and giving careful consideration to their placing to maintain the character of the village. If you have any comments on the proposal please contact a member of the Parish Council.
